Historic Wirral on Film Raising Funds for Neston Angels

Employees at the New Brighton Standard Sanitary factory c.1910

The Neston Flicks team present a very special film show on Friday 1st November that's not only a fascinating delve into the past, but will also raise funds for Neston Angels. Come to Neston Community Youth Centre and enjoy an entertaining and informative look at the history of Wirral from 2,000 years ago to recent times, through a unique compilation of local films.

Choose from a 2pm or 7pm show, with tickets priced at £5. As numbers are limited, you'd be advised to buy tickets in advance. There'll be a raffle and refreshments on sale too.

The first half has a showing of the film 2000 Years in Wirral, followed by an interval, after which there's a series of short films about the Wirral Including two by a local film maker.

Tickets available direct from Paisley Grey or Neston Community Youth Centre reception, or online.

Neston Angels is NCYC's loneliness-busting befriending support service for older people. We recruit, train and match local volunteers with isolated older people in our community for friendship and neighbourly support. Every week, clients can have a call from Dy, our 86-year old volunteer, plus a home visit from a friendly volunteer who'll share a cuppa and a chat in their own home.
