Over the past 12 months, we have been working really hard to bring support services, that people need, to the town. Working with partners we now have a range of support available right here where you need it.
Last year Citizens Advice West Cheshire relocated their service here and the number of people using the service has increased by more then 300%. So much so in fact that they have decided to increase their offer to include a further drop in session on a Wednesday afternoon starting on 28th February.
On Tuesdays, P3 are offering a further drop-in for tenants in the area who have any housing issues they need help with and from Wednesday 7th March, ForHousing will be on hand for their tenants to come and discuss anything regarding their services.
In December, West Cheshire FoodBank relocated to the centre on Thursday mornings and have already seen a significant increase in people accessing their support.
We have recognised the difficulties people have had in the past accessing services that are located in Ellesmere Port and Chester and with the good will of all of the organisations named above, we have tried to improve access to these services.
In addition, Amber Button continue to run the Work Club on Wednesday mornings providing help and support to anyone who is looking for work whether you are unemployed or just looking for a change.
The Alzheimers Society continue to provide their drop-in sessions for people who are living with and caring for people living with Dementia related conditions. Cheshire Carers also provide support for anyone who is a Carer every month. * Please note, there was an error in Cheshire Carers Newsletter.
